How to Remove the Oscillating Knob in your Astron Electric Fan

Do you know how? I saw some YouTube tutorials in which they just pull out the knob. But I don't want to do it because the knob might broke. What I did were these steps that came from trial and error.

It is better to loosen first the screw in the back that covers the motor of the electric fan for easier access to the lower portion of the knob.

Next is to use a nail pusher/or a thin screwdriver which can pass through the side of the U-opening of the knob.

Put the pusher/screwdriver inside the U-opening and carefully push the middle portion upwards while rocking it from left to right going in an upward direction.
