But did you know that if you are not using at its lowest setting, you can set up your refrigerator into econavi mode? Econavi means that the appliance is toning down the electricity usage base on the pattern detected in order to prevent unnecessary wastage thus savings on electricity.

So how will you do it?

Set the three categories (Fridge, Prime Fresh and Freezer) into medium settings.

Wait for a while for the Econavi green indicator to light.

I've discovered a solution in moving OBB files into your Android 11 phone. This can be a little frustrating because though you already allow to access the folder, it doesn't show the restricted OBB folder which is unlike the previous Android versions. I know because I've been an Android user all my life.

1. After you click the Google Chrome icon, on your upper right you will see 3 dots just like the one highlighted below.

3. Under Privacy and security, click Clear browsing data
4. Click Advanced, click the Time Range drop down and choose All time
5. Tick all the appropriate boxes below that you want to clear
6. Click Clear data.

There are two ways that you can rename your Display Name in Zoom. Do you already know them?

First is to sign in to your Zoom account. In your My Profile, click the Edit. Scroll until you see a Display Name. Enter your preferred name and click Save.

The second one is when the Zoom meeting is already in progress. 

You have to go to the participants section. In the picture above which I've already numbered, you can see that you have to click first the (...) and then click the Rename button. A prompt will show the rename box. Click Save. And then you're done.

If yes, fret not! I happened to test out a solution and it worked! I was using the duty phone and the QR code doesn't seem to scan as the code is not clear when you try to put the camera's phone directly to the QR code.

Previously in my blog post, I mentioned and recommended Calibre as an epub reader application for the computer. To those who are not familiar with an epub, it is one type of file format of electronic books or what we call e-books. One thing that I noticed is that it consumes a minimal file type size compared to when it is in your PDF format.

I wasn't able to do as much reading as I have like in the year 2019 and way back because these past year up to to this mid year have not been so kind. The laptop short circuited and a lot of not so good things had happened. It was then that might been the reason why I suddenly had no appetite to read books which I love. Fortunately, I've been getting better in getting back the control in my life. That is why I'm starting to read again.

Anyway, back to the topic. I was a user of Calibre for a couple of years now and you can download it free in their website:

Download according to your computer specifications. What I downloaded was a portable type so that I could move the library files whenever I want.

Before, I was used to seeing the page number in Calibre. However, the default setting wasn't like that in the new interface. I tried to research on how and luckily someone pointed out:

In order to see the number of pages and percentage, here are the steps:

• Once you have opened the book, right click on the page so that you can see the menu:

•  Click Headers and Footers

• From this:

• Change both the Footer Left and Middle from Empty into Position in Book:

• Click Ok and then this will show:

Tech Tip: How to Connect Your Smart TV to an Amplifier

Happy New Year to all!

Today I'm a bit giddy and eager to share to all of you on what I found out just a while ago since I haven't found an easy way to connect our smart tv to an amplifier in the cyberspace.

What we have now is a Promac Amplifier that was given to us since my aunt relocated in the province. We have a Devant Smart TV at home and I got curious if I could connect this to the said amplifier.

The instructional diagram in the amplifier manual is a bit understandable. However, in the diagram I will still need an external audio/video player. It's a bummer because I don't have any.

And so here comes my Google search.

From what I read based on feedbacks, it is necessary that you have to assess the available sockets in your smart tv and compare it those in the amplifier.

For the smart tv I noticed that there is a headset socket and so I'm thinking that I might need a 3.5 mm jack cable (for those who are not familiar, this is the other end part opposite of your earphones/headset).

I've also read that I might need a digital to analog converter. 

Amplifiers usually have what they call an RCA cable output. You might have encountered this type of cable that has a yellow, white and red cables attached to each other and another set of these 3 colors at the other end.

My mind was set to buy a digital to analog converter at first at Handyman but good thing it wasn't available and instead I was able to find a 3.5 mm jack with 2 sockets at each end which only costs around less than 50 php. I thought maybe I could plug the red and white portion of the other end of the cable which was attached to the amplifier. If my experiment fails, I could try to find and buy that converter.

I went home ecstatic to try and test my hypothesis. Fortunately, it worked! Yay!!
