Small Wins # 1: How to Eliminate Ants Going inside the Pure It Classic Filter
After we've transferred to an apartment, a problem that we've encountered is where to find drinking water. Some of you might opt for water refilling stations for the convenience but my mother wanted to have a UV light water filter for our water because she is too particular when it comes to sanitation of drinking water. But since this type of water filter system would require some sort of drilling and modifying the faucet that's why I suggested that we purchase a water filter like Pure It Excella instead. At least it is portable.
When we decided to purchase a unit, I was told that Pure It Excella was an old unit and they recommended Pure It Classic which we got.
Our PureIt Classic filter is almost a year old and we usually replace the filter at around 2 months or more. The replacement filter set you can find at Landmark Makati 4th floor near their hardware which I usually got for 1398 pesos.
Anyway, I don't know if the water was just sweet but we found ourselves a bit grossed out when we spotted a bunch of ants inside the water filter. I've tried putting a scotch tape in the outside portion of the filter which I think have an opening but in the end, the ants were able to get through.
One day, I suddenly thought why not try using a cling wrap instead. Maybe it will work. And so I wrapped the body of the filter with a cling wrap. I found out that this was effective! Yay!
The first few weeks, I found some ants trying to squeeze through inside the wrap but they weren't successful. Haha!
Now we don't have a problem with ants in our water filter anymore! Small wins # 1
Celebrating small wins
I've been meaning to start a gratitude journal but I found out that I've been too lazy to do. So in order to make it simple, I will be posting my small wins against the problems I've encountered. Hopefully, these post might help comfort me in the near future whenever I tend to get lonely and lost.
Let's talk about music. Though I appreciate Korean songs, I truly believe that Filipino music has potential even way back before. I grew up at a time where the rock and ballad style and bands were popular hits. (Oh no, I feel so old. Char!) I'm elated that the produced songs now keeps getting better and better these days. These are the songs that I'm enjoying listening to and some of these are my all time classic favorites. These songs makes me feel nostalgic.
Orange & Lemons - Heaven Knows
(This song I found out in Tiktok)
Shamrock - Alipin
I think this was used as an OST for a Korean series (Jumong?) when it was shown here in the Philippines
Parokya Ni Edgar (ft. Gloc 9 and Francis M) - Bagsakan
Ben & Ben - Leaves
Silent Sanctuary - Ikaw Lamang
Silent Sanctuary - Sa'yo
The Itchyworms - Akin Ka Na Lang
