Trying out bills payment (PLDT) through Shopee's Shopeepay
Hi! It's been awhile and I hope you are all doing well. It's my first time to try out the bills payment of Shopee using Shopeepay.
I've known that they have this feature for a while now but I was adamant in using it because of privacy issues. PLDT has sent me a text message that should I pay using Shopee through Shopeepay, I can have a 25% cashback provided that I have a minimum spending of 600 pesos. Their promo is only valid from June 6-7, 2021. And so I decided to give this a shot because cashbacks are very helpful in saving you money. Here are the steps that I did to pay my PLDT bill using ShopeePay:
Make a top-up first to fund your Shopeepay account using the Shopee app. Then click the Home icon in the lower left and then find the Load and Bills icon. Under Bills, click the LANDLINE & INTERNET and in the Select Biller click PLDT. Next, input your 10 digit Account number in the Account Number portion. Then, input your 2 digit code + telephone number in the IDENTIFIER. Finally, enter how much amount are you going to pay in the AMOUNT. You can also claim your vouchers for cashback.
There is also a reminder in Shopee app that says:
Payments made beyond 8 pm will be posted the next day.
Past due and disconnected account can still be accepted
Duplicate transaction details for this biller will be accepted or allowed after 24 hours.
User will be responsible for contacting the biller should he/she made the mistake in the account number so please double check
After proceeding to the next page, click the PAYMENT OPTION and select ShopeePay. In the INPUT OR SELECT VOUCHERS, click the discount voucher that you want to avail and then click OK. If you have Shopee coins, you can also use this to lessen your bill. Then finally, click PAY NOW. Enter your ShopeePay PIN. There would be a notification that your payment is successful. Tap the VIEW ORDER DETAILS.
In the video that I've seen, they had tap the ORDER RECEIVED button which is in orange color. However, the ORDER RECEIVED button that I saw is in grey color which means I cannot confirm to redeem the coins as of the moment. Maybe it's because they will do so upon verifying the payment posting.
Before you can panic like I did a little while ago, you can find your transaction in the ME icon in the lower right portion and then you click DIGITAL PURCHASE. In the My Orders, click the TO RECEIVE and then BILLS. You will see the message that the Order is Fulfilled along with the account number, identifier and total payment. Right under is an ORDER RECEIVED icon. I tried to click it but the prompt says that "For transaction security, please wait for 4 hours to confirm order received.

Update as of 04:34pm 06Jun2021 : There is now the orange color on the ORDER RECEIVED button and upon clicking a prompt will show that you are confirming your order and that you won't be able to refund upon confirmation. Click OK and then you will redeem your cashback coins.
